We endeavour to pack orders as securely and as environmentally friendly as possible. If you can, please re-use the packaging, bottles and jars we send you or recycle it as best you can.

We would like to assure you of our best attention at all times irrespective of the size of your order, all are treated equally.

STOCK LEVELS:  We endeavour to have enough stock to cover orders at all times.  We will contact you if we are unable to fill your order or if we expect a delay.

CONDITION OF SALE FOR CEREMONIAL CACAO: Our ceremonial chocolate comes to you in its most beautiful pure, raw, unadulterated form. As such, your bar may have some imperfections in shape or may have changed state during its journey to you. It has come a long way. Make sure you have your cacao delivered to you directly so that it does not stay out in the sun for any length of time. Always store your Cacao in a cool place out of direct sunlight.


We use Australia Post services for deliveries Australia wide as they provide a completely traceable and secure service. The delivery prices quoted are the current charges from Australia Post.  Express Post-delivery is overnight for destinations within Australia Post’s National Network.
Regular Post-delivery is 2 to 10 days.
We will do our best to fill orders promptly, but if due to any unforeseen circumstances with supply, there are delays, we will contact you. For delivery of urgent orders please let us know as we may be able to help.
Delays can be expected for delivery to remote areas of Australia but then if you live there you will already be aware of this.
Delivery can be arranged to most international destinations. If your country is not listed please contact us.


We offer free AUS shipping with Australia Post for orders over $60 (after any discounts or vouchers are applied). For Australian orders with a cart total of under $60 (after any discounts or vouchers are applied) and/or over 3kg a standard flat rate charge of $10 will apply.

Free USA shipping with Australia Post for orders over $139 AUD (after any discounts or vouchers are applied), or a flat rate of $17 for orders under $139.


Temptress Apothecary takes great pride in shipping our products to you in the safest and most timely option available. Orders are processed and dispatched within 48 hours of being received, and arrive approximately 2 – 10 working days from dispatch depending on the address location* (please see shipping table below for full details)

Australia Post is our preferred courier for most postage for outer lying and regional areas. We occasionally use local and national couriers for domestic postage. We ALWAYS freight based on the best service in your area.


If you would like to your parcel left if you are not home – please see the ‘Authority to Leave’ section below. If the delivery address is unattended or someone is unable to sign for the parcel, a calling card will be left (generally in the post box or under the front door) with instructions for you to have your parcel redelivered or to collect your parcel from your nearest authorised centre.

If you do choose ‘Authority to Leave’ please note that all responsibilities to Temptress Apothecary is waived.


All prices are listed and charged in Australian Dollars (AUD).


We use the fastest and safest forms of online payment. Our payment options are Paypal and Stripe (online credit cards) through which we accept both Visa and Mastercard. No surcharges apply to any payments. We do not accept phone orders. Please contact us directly if you wish to do a direct deposit.


Shipping is currently available worldwide. International shipping is currently unavailable for customers located in Spain, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Sweden, and Italy.


Import Taxes: You may have to pay import taxes and/or customs duties. You may also be required to pay a brokerage (handling) fee for the international shipment. These charges are separate from your shipping charge and you will be billed directly for them in your home country. Temptress Apothecary cannot advise of these charges as they are determined by the courier, taxation laws in your delivery country and other customs charges.


Due to International laws, Temptress Apothecary states the full value of your order on the shipping label, minus the shipping charge. We will send an itemised invoice along with your order. These invoices will indicate the name of each product you ordered, the quantity of each item, and the cost.


Temptress Apothecary will not be liable for packages refused or held by customs for delivery. We request that you contact your customs office and ask about import regulations and restrictions before placing your order. It is important for you to become familiar with Customs policies for your specific country before ordering. Customs regulations differ by country and not knowing their regulations can result in your order incurring high import duties, the delivery being delayed or even returned. Please check with your Customs office to see if your country permits the shipment of the products you are planning to order from us and if any additional licenses or permits are needed.


Once we have despatched your order, we are no longer responsible for it and do not accept any liability for any deterioration of, loss of or damage to your order which may occur between despatch by us and delivery to you. For orders within the national express post network please note that Australia Post’s charter is to deliver overnight and if it fails then compensation may be payable.


We will certainly accept the return of any product which is damaged, or does not match the description of what you ordered. Temptress Apothecary asks can you please inspect the parcel before signing with the courier should any damage have occurred in transit. Should any damage have occurred Temptress Apothecary must be contacted via email within 48 hours of receiving your goods and provided with photo evidence for verification.

You will be issued a return address of where to send your goods, and they must be received back within (14) fourteen days of the purchase date, in the condition they originally arrived in, to be eligible for either a replacement or a full refund of the purchase price less freight costs. Please note that every effort is taken to ensure that we pack your order as safely as possible – but damage does occur from time to time – especially in the transit of glass items.

Thank you for your patience and co-operation in the event of a breakage or error with your parcel. We will work together to get the goodness you deserve to you as soon as possible. Once the product is opened, we do not refund the purchase price if you simply change your mind. We hope that helps to enjoy our beautiful products with confidence.

Your rights under Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced, if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
