For a holy cacao hot chocolate:
Warm a 1/4 cup of water in a saucepan over medium heat. Add cacao pods and stir in until melted and smooth. Add extra water so to fill your cup or for a creamier version, add your choice of milk. Turn off the heat and pour the brew into a blender. Blend until soft and frothy (or hand whisk). Pour into a beautiful mug and serve warm and steamy. You can also do this directly in a blender or thermomixer.
